Automatic star-delta switch - star-delta time relays are designed for use during the initial start-up of three-phase motors. When the coil is energized, it switches to star wiring to allow the motor to start. The star remains connected for a specified period of time and then goes into standby mode. After the waiting period, it allows for a switch to delta connection. This therefore provides efficiency by reducing the current drawn by high-power motors during start-up.
The time relay is mounted on a standard 35 mm DIN rail.
